Why Molodechno district

Molodechno district was formed on January 15, 1940. It is located in the north-west of the Minsk region, bordered by Volozhin, Vileika, Minsk and Smorgon districts. 75% of the district's territory is located on the Minsk Upland, the relief is hilly.

The rivers Usha, Viliya, Berezina flow in the region. A part of the Vileika-Minsk water system passes through the region. In two directions, the region is crossed by railways: the Minsk-Vilnius (western direction) and Polotsk-Lida (southern direction), as well as highways to Minsk, Vilnius, Vileika, Volozhin.

The area of ​​the district is 139 541 hectares, of which: agricultural land - 73 258 hectares, including arable land - 50 292 hectares, forests - 45 797 hectares. Geographically, the district is divided into the city of Molodechno, g. Radoshkovichi and 12 village councils (267 rural settlements). For the first time Molodechno was mentioned in written sources of the late XIV century (since 1388) and received the status of a city on 04/26/1929. Modern Molodechno is a city located on the Usha River, 72 km north-west of Minsk, a large industrial, cultural and sports center of the Minsk region. City area - 3 349 hectares; population as of 01.01.2021 -
91,063 people. According to the layout, Molodechno is divided into 11 microdistricts. The city has a developed industrial and construction complex, the sphere of trade and consumer services, and the social sphere. More than
30 cultural events of international, republican and regional significance. Molodechno is the capital of the National Festival of Belarusian Poetry and Song.

The largest settlements on the territory of the district as of 01.01.2021: g. P. Radoshkovichi - 6 341 people, pos. Chist - 6 109 people, village Krasnoe - 3 100 people,
ag. Berezinskoe - 1,442 people, ag. Olekhnovichi - 1,867 people, Turets-Boyary village - 1,447, ag. Lebedevo - 1,151 people, ag. Polochans - 851 people, Nasilovo village - 1,366 people, Tyurli village - 1,049. 14 agro-towns were commissioned in the district.

According to the latest census, 119,125 (89.7%) Belarusians live in the region, 6,656 (5.0%) - Russians, 1,551 (1.2%) - Ukrainians, 982 (0.7%) - Poles, Armenians - 110 (0.1%).

By age groups (as of 01.01.2020): up to 18 years old - 20%, of working age - 56.2%, people over working age - 26%.

In total, 2393 legal entities, 4328 individual entrepreneurs, 68 peasant farms, 173 gardening associations, 185 housing cooperatives, KIZ, TS, 52 garage cooperatives operated on the territory of the district as of 01.01.2021.

In the region there are created and protected: landscape reserve of local importance "Bortniki", biological reserve of local importance "Pine Veimutova", hydrological reserve of local importance "River Vyazynka", natural monument "Larch in Lebedevsky forestry", nature of local importance "Krinitsa Leshno", " Krinitsa Bogdanovich ".

In January - June 2021, 85.9 million rubles of investments in fixed assets were used in Molodechno district, or 105.8% in comparable prices to the same period in 2020, including through: funds of the republican budget - 4.5 million rubles. rubles, funds from local budgets - 7.5 million rubles, own funds of organizations - 39.2 million rubles, borrowed funds from other organizations - 3.0 million rubles, foreign investments - 0.3 million rubles, bank loans - 6.1 million rubles, funds of the population - 20.7 million rubles, other sources - 4.6 million rubles.

45.0 million rubles were used for construction and installation work, which is 52.4% of the total investment; purchase of machinery, equipment, vehicles (excluding equipment installation work) used RUB 27.3 million, which is 31.8% of the total investment.

For reconstruction, modernization 25.2 million rubles were spent, construction of facilities - 36.7 million rubles.

RUR 29.8 million were allocated for housing construction. 31,749 square meters of housing were commissioned.

In the utilities sector, 1.9 km of water pipelines and networks, 1.5 km of collectors and networks, 0.4 km of gasification networks and 0.1 km of heat supply networks were commissioned.
